a home movie. part five.

Well here we are, together again, for another installation of a home movie.  A few months ago we hopped onto the Pacific Coast Highway and headed North to Big Sur State Park.  Big Sur is the southernmost point for the coastal redwoods that we love so dearly, sleeping in the presence of them is always unbelievable.  With good company we camped for a few nights before flying east, to Columbus, for several big projects in the coming month.  We seem to take photos of every trip and adventure we embark on, and most of them end up sitting on hard-drives, never seen again.  We're changing that, with the Big Sur photo set.  Enjoy.

In a sunlit suite at The Lofts, in downtown Columbus, a bride to be with bouncing curls, sparkling champagne, and an unfading smile soaked up love, laughter, and support from her bridesmaids and family.  After months and months of planning, preparations, fittings and rehearsal, it was time.  

Being given the opportunity to document such a monumental moment in two people's lives is such a surreal endeavor.  The end result is history in motion, a permanent reminder that love flourishes in the Hollins home.  

John and Lindsay, thank you for allowing us to capture those moments that may have otherwise slipped by, it was an honor to be involved in your day.

Welcome to our brand new blog! We are stoked you've made it here, and hope you come back often, as we are always cooking up new things worth sharing!  Over the past few months we at driftwood have had the opportunity to work on some amazing projects.  Deciding which of these projects to highlight in our first post ever was, admittedly, a bit daunting.  After days of throwing around ideas, we decided on one single project that just made sense.  Why not post our first collaborative project as driftwood visual? And here we are...

Back in November, driftwood was given the opportunity to shoot a web spot for the Ohio Surgery Center. These folks are fantastic.  While the rest of America was basking in all that is "Black Friday", our crew gathered around the doughnuts and coffee that proved to be so necessary for a 6:30 am call time! Spirits were high despite the long hours and the end product is something we are so proud of. However, it must be said that this wouldn't have been such a success without the help of our dearest friends and family who lent their time, support and advice throughout the entire span of the project

This project is also near to our hearts because we had the opportunity to collaborate with a close and exceptionally talented friend of ours, Shawn Tegtmeier.  Shawn is one of those people that excels at everything he puts his hands on, and in the case of the Ohio Surgery Center his expertise is showcased in the music and graphics throughout.  Brilliant, isn't he?!
